In partnership with University of Maryland Ischool, CEN is creating an online marketplace platform for direct networking between the providers and the seekers of project assistance in Haiti.
Project Supporters will be able to: • Sign up and upload information about areas of interest and skills. • Look for suitable projects to pledge funds to and/or offer technical support. • Respond to e-mail contact from Haitians. • Make pledges through online payment methods.
Haitians will be able to: • Search for supporters’ information online. • Contact suitable supporters through the website. • Submit crowdfunding project ideas through the website.
Community Projects Database Linking Haitians Living Abroad to their Neighborhood Projects
CEN is creating a database called Finance your Neighborhood Projects (FNP) to facilitate fundraising, from Haitians living abroad, as well as information sharing, and capacity building. It will also be useful to local and international organizations providing/seeking financial and technical resources, volunteer work, donations, local expertise, etc.
Community Needs/Resources Inventory
CEN is currently creating a Community Needs & Resources Inventory for the Municipality of Petion-Ville (in collaboration with the Mayor’s office & local leaders)
The Needs & Resources Inventory, an online searchable database, will educate donors about priorities and facilitate direct fundraising around the world, as well as facilitating information sharing, and network building. It will also be useful to local and international organizations providing/seeking financial and technical resources, volunteer work, donations, local expertise, etc..
Technical Assistance Database
Community members in Petion-Ville, Haiti will have access to a database of people who are offering their skills to increase the capacity of the local projects. Thur a data collection form, providers of technical assistance will be able to offer the expertise. There will be an email function embedded in the website to facilitate communication between project leaders and supporters.
Haitian Non-profit Organizations Database
